After the Civil War, Jackson, Mississippi was home to five major cottonseed oil mills, producing millions of dollars of revenue for the city.
Today, only one survives: the Mississippi Mill at 1000 N. Mill Street, future home of Mill Street Studios. It still contains all of its original equipment and unique architecture, much of which blends an industrial aesthetic and historical foundation to the studio’s state-of-the-art technology-based facilities.
Visionaries Monte and Charlotte Reeves purchased the property and surrounding areas to develop Mill Street Studios, LLC.
